Truth vs. Reality

Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day. (Psa 25:5)

Reality is the state of a situation or thing that actually exist and it is not an imagination. It can affect a person deeply and whereas others will not blink an eye. Reality can be a perception or even a world view formed by the sum total of one’s personal experience.  It can be a state that exists but there are those who are totally ignorant about it. Reality can make and break a person in the long run.

The Bible emphasizes Truth over Reality. Reality may be staring us in the face, but truth never changes. Reality can change because truth is the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ; the same from everlasting to everlasting. He never changes and He can alter reality according to His divine will and purpose. Though reality may stare at us in the face, we must hold on the His truth. Things may appear to be without hope; He is our hope and assurance. In simple faith believe Him for all things and trust His every Word. It will be in a crisis we will be know if we react on the reality confronted or respond in faith according to the truth. Truth forms the bedrock of our faith that keeps us in the perfect peace or Shalom of God because we know and know deep within that He will lead us through with His comforting rod and staff. Truth is not a theory, but the way that leads us in the transcending life of Jesus Christ. Purpose to know the truth in His Word and know the Truth Himself in relationship, because is it truth that will liberate us to live above and not at the base level of hopelessness (John 8:32).
